From the director of the cult classic Guppy comes another soul-stirring drama. “Aashaan” is a love letter to cinema and the people who dream of being part of it. If you love realistic, emotional dramas that take you behind the scenes of the film industry, this movie is a must-watch.

About the Movie – The Plot

The story follows two dreamers from different generations. Aashaan (Indrans) is an elderly man who has always secretly wanted to be an actor. Anandan (Joemon Jyothir) is a struggling technician desperate to get his big break in the film industry. Their lives collide when a film crew decides to shoot a movie inside Aashaan’s apartment complex. What follows is a chaotic, funny, and emotional journey exploring whether cinema fulfills dreams or breaks them.

🎵 A Director of Many Talents!

Did You Know? The director, Johnpaul George, didn’t just write and direct Aashaan—he also composed the music! This marks his debut as a music director. Also, the film is distributed by Dulquer Salmaan’s production house, Wayfarer Films.

Cast and Crew

  • The Soul of the Film: Indrans (as Aashaan). His performance is being hailed as one of his career-best, full of quiet dignity.

  • The Struggle: Joemon Jyothir (famous from Romancham) plays a serious, grounded role as the struggling filmmaker.

  • Supporting Cast: Shobi Thilakan (as a director) and Bibin Perumbilli.

  • Director & Writer: Johnpaul George (Known for Guppy and Ambili).

  • Music: Johnpaul George. Surprisingly, the director himself composed the songs for this movie!

  • Production: Produced by Guppy Cinemas and distributed by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films.
